Pakistan Journal of Physiology (Pak J Physiol, PJP), published by Pakistan Physiological Society, is an open access journal and is FREE for academic and research use. It is a Peer Reviewed Journal published quarterly. The journal publishes original research work in all areas of human & animal Physiology, related disciplines of basic medical sciences/clinical medicine, and medical education. Pakistan Journal of Physiology enjoys expertise of a galaxy of editorial board members and reviewers expert in their field of specialization. It is recognised by HEC, and PMC (IP-034). The Pak J Physiol is indexed in Index Copernicus, WHO IMEMR, PakMediNet, PASTIC, and several other indexing agencies. All submissions are electronic to reduce manuscript delays. The manuscripts submitted for publication may be in the form of an original research (randomized controlled trial, metanalysis, quasi-experimental study, case-control study, cohort study or cross-sectional analytical study), review article, case report, book review, recent advances, new techniques, debates, adverse drug reports, current practices, audit report, evidence-based report, short communication or a letter to the editor. Studies more than five years old at the time of submission are not entertained. Pakistan Journal of Physiology strictly follows Higher Education Commission, Pakistan (HEC), Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) and International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) guidelines for plagiarism. The journal does not accept multiple studies/multiple end publications gathered/derived from a single research project or data (wholly or in part). The contents published online are accessible FREE for all academic and research purposes. The publications may be downloaded, reproduced or stored in any retrieval media with proper citation and credit to the Journal. All articles published represent the opinions of the authors and do not reflect the official policy of Pakistan Journal of Physiology, Pakistan Physiological Society, or the institution with which the author is affiliated unless this is clearly specified. Before submission of the articles, the authors should read instructions for authors published in every issue of the PJP and also available on the Journal's website.
