Lament poetry regarding Ahl-e-Bait in various periods

Abstract
The Article entitled: Lament poetry regarding Ahl-e-Bait in various periods is a comprehensive, historical study of the kind of Arabic poetry. The article presents a number of relevant traditions from the early period of Islam regarding lament Arabic poetry. Some companions (male &female) of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon Him) contributed in this regard composing their lament poetry. The article shows a brief summary of the history of lament poetry in various periods. Importance of lament poetry and its status in the teachings of Islam has been described in this article. An Islamic incident; Karbaala played a great role in the development of lament poetry. Most of Arabic, Urdu Persian poets describe the incident in their lament poetry. The roots of lament poetry can be traced from the early period of Islam as it is noted that great companions of Holy prophet like as Hazrat Abu Baker also said lament poetry on the death of Holy Prophet as Hazrat Hafsa (Ant of Holy Prophet) also said lament poetry on the death of Hazrat Ameer Hamza. After incident of Karbala, lament poetry developed in other than Arabian countries like as India, Africa etc. The article presents a brief history of lament poetry in these countries in various periods
