Abstract
O HAKRO: A SHORT ANALYTICAL STUDY Abstract Rab Dino son of Gul Mohammad Hakro was born and grew up at village Ghulam Hussain Hakro, District Larkana, Sindh. He got the Islamic education and grew up to be a scholar of Arabic and Persian and Hafiz Quran Majeed. He used to live with simplicity. He was very pious and owned a simple life. He liked to live in lonely and spoke very shortly. He was the spiritual caliph/Khalifa of Hazrat Hafiz Mohammad Siddique Bharchundvi, who was also a sufi Sindhi poet. Khalifo Rab Dino Hakro was the poet of Sindhi and Seraiki Languages and used to say ‘Rab Dino’ or ‘Rab Dina’ as his title/laqb in his poetry. There are about 172 pages in his poetry collection (manuscript) consisting on 167 Sindhi/Seraiki Kafis, 763 Sindhi/Seraiki verses/Bait and 02 Se-Harfi. His birth and death days/ dates are still unknown, yet this is confirmed that he was the poet of the last of the 19th century and beginning of 20th century. In this paper, his poetry is analyzed and tried has been made to know on which topics/subjects it is said.
