Abstract
The paper has reflected on some of the selected poems of Maulana Rumi and Iqbal to compare the meaning of love, heart, and soul as presented in their verses. The paper highlighted the vision of Rumi to a great extent about the concept as being universal and limitless, i.e. the love, in its true sense does not believe in segregation, injustice, and selfless deeds, it rather fosters unity, harmony, respect, and balance among the people on earth. The paper concluded that for today’s chaotic world the solution lies in practicing love, which is the key subject of Rumi’s poetry.
