Abstract
Moulana Hali is one of the prominent writers and critics of colonial era. He, not only
paved the path of hermeneutic style of expression theoretically but also practiced it; and
his prescribed mode of litrary expression was quite in accordance with colonial
discourse. This research paper highlights the colonial elements of his critical, creative
and philosophical thoughts so that its colonial perspective may be understood and true
interpretive mode could be brought forward.
