Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and Urdu language in the perspective of “Tehzeeb UL Akhlaq”
Abstract
The contributions of Delhi College, Fort WilliamCollege
and Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghalib have remained
appreciable in the development and propagation of Urdu
language.
In the same epoch, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan rose in the
horizon of Urdu literature and dedicated his whole life in
the Indian Muslims’ national reformation, educational
revolution and progress of Urdu language. In this regard,
his writings, Ali Garh Movement and magazine
Tehzeebul Akhlaq, played an operative role.
Tehzeebul Akhlaq especially contributed in the evolution
and fruition of various aspects of Urdu literature.They
were the Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and other writers of
Tehzeebul Akhlaq who contributed to Urdu in a way that
the language, progressed and achieved so expeditiously
with in a span of few years, an expanse set for centuries.
In this research paper, I have tried my level best to
sketch,give an outlook, study and critically examine the
leading aspects of involvements of “Sir Syed Ahmed
Khan and Resala Tehzeebul Akhlaq” due to which Urdu
language and its literature has flourished and developed
to an extent that the language is now ranked amongst
the other rich, leading and developed languages of the
world.
