Al-Imam Ahmad Raza Khan, The poet of Al-Islam and Muslims
Abstract
Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (1856-1921) was a renowned religious and
spiritual personality of the subcontinent. He contributed towards Arabic,
Persian and Urdu Languages and Literatures. He was a great scholar, mystic,
prolific writer and poet. He enjoyed equal command in Arabic, Persian, Urdu
and Hindi languages. He was proficient in Urdu, Arabic and Persian. He
wrote a lot of books in these languages in the form of prose and poetry. He
wrote three Dewans in Arabic, Urdu and Persian languages. His poetry is
very rich not only from cultural but also religious point of view. He has
expressed his love for Allah and Holy Prophet Muhammad )صلى الله عليه وسلم )very deeply
in his poetry. The article includes discussions on Oneness of Allah Almighty,
belief in the Hereafter, worship of Allah, welfare of humanity, salvation from
wrong path, high morals with reference to Allah almighty incorporating
excerpts from "Basateen-ul-Ghufran."
